Ready to test your golf skill

Golfers who thrive on challenges, the golf course is not short of exciting offerings. Its sand traps, penalty areas, island greens and three (3) very special signature holes are sure to test your golfing skills

The Mango Nine is Nilai Spring’s most interesting among the three nines. The 3054-meter layout offers golfers three outstanding holes –Nos. 1,6 and 9 –as it winds through a landscape of elevation changes.

This is a tough starting hole constructed with OB on the left  of the fairway. From elevated tees, golfers need a big drive to help cut into the 510 metres of real estate that lies ahead. Golfers must be accurate on their second and third shots as the fairway narrows into the last 300 metres. Mounds surrounding the green complicate chipping for those who miss the green with their approach shots. Par is a very good score on this devilish opener.

The downhill nature of this Dogleg left hole helps golfers in their quest for par. A sole sand bunker rests at the bend of the dogleg, so aim for the right centre of the fairway on the drive. A Monsoon drain awaits wayward shots on extreme right.

Three sand bunkers add interest on this uphill par 3. The hole is longer by a mere 2 metres over No.6. A deceptive hole by mere vision. Choice of club is important.

Three grass mounds and a long narrow sand bunker define the right portion of the drive’s landing area. Golfers attempting to avoid these hazards by staying left have a chance of finding OB which lines the fairway’s left side.

The fairway for this hole rambles slightly downhill for all of its 368 metres. A fairway sand bunker is again of concern for golfers but it is on the left side rather than on the right as on the 4th hole. Drives or approach shots to the green that stray right can result in a penalty stroke as a water drainage canal runs the length of the hole.

The first of Nilai Springs’ two Signature holes is this glamorous par 3. At 154 metres, the tee shot is manageable with a mid-iron or lofted fairway wood. Golfers who miss the green will be happy to find sand bunkers that flank the putting surface rather than the giant monsoon drain in front.

Water also plays a predominant role on this hole, a straight par 5 that starts with a drive over water to a narrow fairway and ends with a deep green that is encircled by three bunkers. Players will find three more sand bunkers and water down the left side on this hole as they advance their ball forward.

Players should look to make birdie or par on this hole before facing the tough 9th. A good drive will put golfers in range for a short approach to a narrow and deep putting surface. Tees set below the fairway, however, make the task just a little bit more challenging.

Water lines the left side. The green is elevated. The fairway is narrow for the first 200 metres. All of the aforementioned statements this uphill hold a true test of golf. Add three towering mature mango trees to the middle of the fairway 190 metres from the tees-and one has the most interesting hole at Nilai Springs. From the tee area, golfers have a complete view of this index one hole. And the picture it presents is one of intimidation. The best way for conservative golfers to play this hole is an iron from the tees to the left portion of the fairway short of the trees, followed by a lay-up second shot to the edge of the fairway above the water that fronts a good portion of the green. Aim for three –on and hope for a one putt to record a par. This is a good hole that will frustrate some players while thrilling others.
Thoughts do not ever come to mind in such a process in which you would like cialis for sale decided all that is needed at the instant. Solve all at once and it’s not just to put it gently.

Like the Mango nine, the Island Nine challenges players with three inventive holes –Nos. 10, 13 and 17. Throughout its 3,074 metres, this dramatic tract challenges golfers with steeply-sloped hillsides, an abundance of water and numerous sand bunkers

This par 5 is both the longest and toughest hole on this nine. Golfers are greeted by an informative sign at the Tee Box. Be sure to read it, as it gives players the distances to the water which bisects the fairway below the tees. Some players will use a driver here, while others will opt for 5-irons.All golfers, however, must hit two near perfect shots to establish a favorable approach to an open, large green.

This mid-length par 4 in contrast to No 10, is an easy driving hole. Stay to the right portion of the fairway on your journey to a green guarded by three sand bunkers. Water completely lines the left side of the hole.

This hole is very similar to the previous –it is an open par 4, and water again lines the left side. Select enough club on the approach to the green as a huge sand bunker protects the front edge of the putting surface.

The 13th hole is the prettiest par 3 at Nilai Springs. From well-maintained tee areas, players have an unobstructed view of a gigantic green across a sea of water. Be brave here and aim at the pin, for the only safe landing area for the golf ball is the putting surface.

This hole plays straightaway with OB on the left and on or beyond buggy track on the right, in addition to a graded, sloping hill which also lines the fairway’s left side. This hill will prevent most golf balls from going OB, so use the driver to shorten the approach to a green closely guarded by two sand bunkers.

This dogleg left par 4 requires strategic thinking if want to score well. Another steep hill and OB forms the left perimeter and on or beyond buggy track on the right from tee to green . It is a full 230 metres to the corner of the dogleg, so average hitters must stay right if they wish to see the green on their second shots. Approach shots sent right of the putting surface will find water. Weak approaches will stay short of the green and its elevated front edge. Long shots will discover a collection area behind the green.

This is the longest par 3 in Nilai Springs. This angular placement of the narrow but deep putting surface makes it difficult to judge just where the pin is actually positioned. Players have a better chance of recording a birdie or par when the Tee Markers are placed on the course’s original tee at 157M.

Avid golfers know that any par 5 measuring 427 metres from the blue tees must have some special features to keep golfers from destroying the hole. The glitz on this dramatic par 5 is an island green. Big hitters will be able to reach the putting surface in two, while golfers of lesser distance will look to hit accurate shots to reach the ample green in regulation.

Golfers are again faced with an over-water shot as they stand on the tee of this uphill par 4, sand bunker dot left side of the fairway with two more bunkers tightening the front opening to the green.

The Pines nine measures at 2,991 metres features two par 4s of 385 & 375 metres and a long par 3 of 165 metres. Strong golf shots and good putting are a must on this grouping of holes if hopes to equal par

A controlled tee shot is important on this downhill par 4 as water crosses the fairway some 230 metres from the tee. Golfers who successfully avoid the predominant water must avoid yet more hazards on the approach to the green as three sand bunkers hug the putting surface.

Players looking to find an easy par 5 at Nilai Springs will like this hole. At 480 metres, it demands three good shots to get home in regulation. So what makes this hole an almost sure par? The two greenside sand bunkers that appear threatening from the fairway are not in close proximity to the green.

This hole, the longest of the layout’s par 3s.should be an easy three for most players. A large, deep elevated green accepts shots well while the three greenside bunkers.

Golfers should also score well on this short par 4. You need only to carry water crossing near the green on the approach to be putting for birdie on a narrow and undulation putting surface.

This short par 5 is a sweeping dogleg left. A fairly deep sand bunker forms the corner of the dogleg and should be avoided at all costs. Wayward shots to the right are punishable by huge monsoon drain running parallel with the Fairway. On approach shots, golfers must be sure to select enough club as the green is one of the biggest of the course.

One fairway sand bunker is the focal point of this short, dogleg left par 4. Cutting the corner on the drive will shorten this hole even more.

In contrast to Hole 24, players must hit two strong shots to reach this green in regulation. Water runs from tee to green along the right side of the hole is also not in close to proximity to pose major damage. So, length is most important on this par 4. The Fairway Bunker on the right may pose danger to some.

The front edge of this hole is narrow, deep green is level. From the tees, players can be deceived into believing the hole plays shorter than its established 142 metres.

Aim right on this dogleg left par 4. Out-of-bounds from tee to green awaits any shot that drifts left. Sand bunkers near the green add to the difficulty of the uphill approach to a roundish putting surface.
